Abstract :
Atmospheric pollutants, such as ozone for example, are fine particles which are emitted and then transported through the atmosphere before, finally, chemically reacting with each other.
Numerical modelling, which involves producing a model of the atmosphere, enables air quality to be studied in order to produce daily forecasts, or even to simulate polluting incidents such as the Chernobyl accident.
Methods have been developed to analyse the results from numerical models in order to estimate and then reduce their uncertainties.
